What areas do you cover?

Lewisham, Bexley, Southwark, Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Lambeth, Croydon, Bromley, Sevenoaks, Dartford, Greenwich and many others in South or East London and North Kent. We do go outside these areas however it may be time-dependent and a higher price due to travel time, but please enquire.

Have you got any spiders?

No spiders, but we have a tarantula skin that can be shown.

Are the animals dangerous?

None of the animals bite or scratch, but we insist hands are washed after touching any animals. All activities are risk assessed for health and safety purposes and the assessments are available upon request.

Do we need a large room?

In a school, it is best to be based in the hall all day, but we can be based in classroom as long as the children are able to sit in one row on chairs or benches. For private events, a room where the children are all able to sit on chairs / sofas, in a semi-circle, is perfect. A table or mantlepiece for the animals is ideal.

Why do you have maximum class sizes when you do assemblies?

The group size is set to 30 for schools to ensure each child gets the best educational experience. In assemblies only about 10-15 children will be able to handle the animals or be involved in the assembly, so with less children they each get to be involved or handle the animals. Assembly style workshops are available if you'd like it to be less hands-on. The group size is set to 15 for whole parties or 25 for an hour, to ensure the safety of the animals, as larger groups can get boistrous. With less children they also handle the animals for longer.

Do you require a deposit?

No, but a completed (and signed) booking form, with your contact details, is necessary. We will send this when you make an enquiry, and we will then confirm this in writing. Details of the address, number of participants and time of the event is also required, in writing, and will then be confirmed.
